Location Description Royan

Family-friendly bathing resort with 5'100 inhabitants, 5 km south from Royan, 15 km south from St Palais sur mer, 82 km south from La Rochelle. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Royan is at the mouth of the estuary of the Gironde, in the Poitou- Charentes part. This is the largest estuary in Europe. The station is located opposite the Pointe de Grave and Medoc, location and land of famous wines such as Médoc, Haut-Médoc, Saint-Estèphe, Saint-Julien, Listrac, Moulis, Margaux and many others...At only 65 km from Cognac, eponyme of the world famous "eau-de -vie". Including the area aperitif Pineau des Charentes .

Sandy beach. Sports harbour. Diving, sailing, surfing, sailing school, water skiing. Tennis, squash, golf course. Riding. Hiking paths. Mountain bike routes. Main market in Royan. Cruises between the islands of Oleron, Re, Aix. The huge 400 ha La Coubre forest is located in the north, it stretches from St Palais to La Tremblade.

Nous n'avons pas aimé ce studio. La literie : protège matelas, couette, oreillers sont sales et dégagent une odeur répugnante. Le logement sens très fortement l'humidité. Le ménage est limite. Et c'est trop bruyant la route et nous étions hors saison. Et un voisin qui met la musique ou la tv toute la nuit. Pas possible de se reposer. Nous sommes déçus et pas reposés de ce week-end.

Studio agréable avec terrasse, haut de plafond et bien conçu. Logement bien placé, non loin des promenades lelong des différentes plages. Quartier verdoyant avec villas . Les moins sont uniquement peut être la route passagère non loin selon la saison et le rideau de douche manquant durant notre séjour mais qui sera réparé prochainement paraît il. Bon accueil pour la remise des clés et les infos.

Jai tout de suite été séduit par l'esthétique du bâtiment Le studio en location est suffisamment grand et bien organisé pour y loger à 2, la cuisine est bien équipée de tout le nécessaire pour être autonome, le balcon terasse est très agréable. En point négatif: la toilette coulait en permanence. Le plus urgent à régler est le matelas très usé et défoncé. Ces points ont été signalés. La villa mériterait quelques rénovations. J'ai passé très bon séjour dans cette charmante région.
