Large, open kitchen (oven, dishwasher, 4 induction hot plates, toaster, kettle, microwave, electric coffee machine, Capsules for coffee machine (Nespresso) extra, steamer, fondue Set (cheese)). 2 showers/WC. Balcony, south facing position, small balcony, west facing position. Balcony furniture. Very beautiful view of the mountains. Facilities: logs (extra). Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

House/Residence

Chalet "Alpina", built in 2005. In the district of Am Acher 300 m from the centre of Wengen, on a slope, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet. In the house: central heating system. Pre-arrival grocery service. Shop, supermarket 300 m, restaurant 50 m, bar, bakery 300 m, 5 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 3.3 km, railway station "Wengen" 300 m, outdoor swimming pool 600 m. Cable car, skisport facilities 300 m, children's playground 50 m. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.

1'274 m a.s.l. >>Famous, idyllic, car-free holiday resort with 1'300 inhabitants, on top of a hill, situated at the foot of a mountain, on a plateau with beautiful view, 12 km from Interlaken, 15 km from Grindelwald. In the resort: shops, grocery, bakery, post office, bank, restaurant, night club, cinema. Wellness centre. Besides: doctor. Sights Männlichen, Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Trümmelbachfälle, Schynige Platte, Harder, First. Access: no access to the resort by car, reachable only by railway. The journey is made by rack railway (extra) from Lauterbrunnen. Parking spaces available at the train station.

Summer

Heated outdoor swimming pool. Tennis (2 outdoor courts). Minigolf. Paragliding. Mountain lifts, cableways, hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing, children's hiking paths. Mountain bikes for hire. Children's playground.

Winter

Ski-region Jungfrau-Top Ski Region, total of 43 lifts. Total 213 km ski runs (30 % easy, 50 % intermediate, 20 % difficult), snow park. Ski school (downhill), snowboard school, children's ski school, ski kindergarten. Winter walking paths 50 km. 4 toboggan runs. Artificial ice rink, curling. Free parking space for skis and ski boots at Central Sport.

Zeer mooi chalet en gunstig gelegen ten opzichte van het centrum van Wengen. Wel een kleine klim als je van het chalet naar het centrum of het station wilt. Goede informatie ontvangen van Interhome in Wengen. Het chalet zelf was zeer ruim en schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. 2 ruime slaapkamers met mooie badkamer. Ruime woonkamer en mooie keuken. Ook een klein minpuntje: soms zijn de buren (boven of zijkant te horen) maar verder niet storend.

After spending the week in Wengen and seeing all the towns in the area. We felt like Wengen was the best place for our family of four to stay. And this condo was in a great location in town.

Mühseliges Hin- und Herprocedere wegen der Frage, wie genau und wohin sich die Post umleiten lasse. Einen Briefkastenschlüssel bekamen wir nicht, sondern mussten (den Briefkasten von Hand anschreiben und) uns die Post ins ungesicherte Zeitungsfach legen lassen. Das hat dann allerdings funktioniert.
