Balcony furniture. Very beautiful view of the mountains. Facilities: washing machine, dryer, iron. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

Apartment block "Breithorn-Residence". 500 m from the centre of Wengen, in a quiet, sunny position on a slope. In the house: central heating system. Pre-arrival grocery service. Shop, supermarket 500 m, restaurant 300 m, bar, bakery 500 m, 7 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 3.5 km, railway station "Wengen" 500 m, outdoor swimming pool 700 m. Cable car, skisport facilities 500 m, children's playground 300 m. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Additional accommodations can be booked. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.

Location Description Wengen

1'274 m a.s.l. >>Famous, idyllic, car-free holiday resort with 1'300 inhabitants, on top of a hill, situated at the foot of a mountain, on a plateau with beautiful view, 12 km from Interlaken, 15 km from Grindelwald. In the resort: shops, grocery, bakery, post office, bank, restaurant, night club, cinema. Wellness centre. Besides: doctor. Sights Männlichen, Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Trümmelbachfälle, Schynige Platte, Harder, First. Access: no access to the resort by car, reachable only by railway. The journey is made by rack railway (extra) from Lauterbrunnen. Parking spaces available at the train station.

Summer

Heated outdoor swimming pool. Tennis (2 outdoor courts). Minigolf. Paragliding. Mountain lifts, cableways, hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing, children's hiking paths. Mountain bikes for hire. Children's playground.

Winter

Ski-region Jungfrau-Top Ski Region, total of 43 lifts. Total 213 km ski runs (30 % easy, 50 % intermediate, 20 % difficult), snow park. Ski school (downhill), snowboard school, children's ski school, ski kindergarten. Winter walking paths 50 km. 4 toboggan runs. Artificial ice rink, curling. Free parking space for skis and ski boots at Central Sport.

Sehr schlechter Zustand des Bettes. 1 ganzer Rost und Matratze. Wenn eine Person sich bewegt, wird das andere hochgehoben. In der Mitte ein Holzbrett - Latte montiert , zu hoch, man kugelt an den Rand hinaus. Das ist eine Zumutung. Keine Erholung nur Stress.

The apartment is quite well situated and has a good view. It is adequately, if sparsely, furnished and equipped. Lighting is poor - no bedside or reading lights, with ugly and ineffective column lights in the living space. The bathroom was smelly. The bedroom has no natural light, because the narrow door/window opens into sub-ground-level space with public access so has to remain curtained. This also means the room cannot be ventilated at night, as the door has to be locked for security.

Thank you for the comments. Please notify the keyholder as soon as cleaning is discovered to be insufficient, housekeeping will return to make corrections. The proeprty has now gone under deep cleaning to eliminate any odor.

A well appointed flat, minutes from the train station, supermarket and bakery, yet on the outskirts of the village so very quiet and with amazing views. A flock of sheep were grazing on the small field opposite with their bells ringing. Bliss! Weather was amazing allowing us to use the balcony area. Plenty of hot water, excellent powerful shower, bedding and linen all clean. Felt like home. Also a thank you to the amazing customer service of INTERHOME. We hope to return.

Gute Lage. Sehr gute Ausstattung. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Angenehmerweise war bei der Vermietung über Interhome auch das kostenlose Einstellen der Skiausrüstung in unmittelbarer Nähe der Männlichenbahn inklusive.

Het betreft een praktisch ingedeelde woning met een fijn balkon en mooi uitzicht. Voor twee personen helemaal prima! Wij vonden de woning wel wat sfeerloos, maar dat is uiteraard een kwestie van smaak.

Wir kennen die Wohnung aus mehreren Urlauben und sie enspricht im großen und ganzem dem was wir erwarten und benötigen. Zwei Punkte sind zu bemängeln: - Die Nespresso-Kaffee-Maschine verliert Wasser, sobald man sie startet und Kaffee macht.. - Die Dichtung an der Armatur des Waschbeckens ist undicht.
