Day 1

Picturesquely located in the Ötztal, the tranquil village of Huben welcomes you. The village is situated at an altitude of almost 1,200 meters and accordingly delights with the fresh mountain air in the heart of the Alps. From every part of the village, you can gaze upon a breathtaking mountain panorama. But Huben itself also offers some sights that you can explore on the first day of your trip. The Church of St. Martin is the most famous building. The house of worship was originally built in the Middle Ages but fell victim to a flood disaster in 1679. The current structure mostly dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. Stroll from the church through the small village center, where you will find several cafés and restaurants, and take a break at the Ötztaler Ache. The picturesque river course not only offers many photo opportunities but is also a popular route for walks.

Day 2

The Ötztal is a true paradise for active vacationers in every season. Therefore, plan an exciting excursion into nature for your second day in Huben. In the Ötztal Alps, a total of 1,600 kilometers of well-marked and prepared hiking trails await you, leading past numerous alpine pastures and huts where you can refresh yourself along the way. With the mountain railways, you can reach the mountain peaks even in the warm season, some of which are higher than 3,000 meters. Particularly recommended are hikes or mountain bike tours to one of the idyllic mountain lakes. A hidden gem is the Piburger Lake, surrounded by rocks and trees and known for its crystal-clear water. Even more spectacular is the Stuibenfall near the municipality of Umhausen. A staircase leads you to the beginning of the impressive waterfall, where you will find several viewing platforms and even a suspension bridge.

Day 3

If you want to spend the third day of your vacation with cultural sights, a day trip to nearby Innsbruck is recommended. The capital of Tyrol can be reached by car in just under an hour and is rich in historical highlights. The city's landmark is the Golden Roof in the heart of the old town. The ornate bay window consists of 2,657 fire-gilded roof shingles and was built around the year 1500. The old town is characterized by many small alleys, elaborate wall decorations, and picturesque facades. Everywhere you will find cafés inviting you to linger. Other well-known attractions include the Innsbruck Hofburg and Ambras Castle. Modern Innsbruck is represented, among other things, by the impressive Bergisel Ski Jump. The futuristic ski jumping facility is open to visitors all year round, who can enjoy an unparalleled panoramic view from the observation platform. Every year in January, a Four Hills Tournament jump also takes place here.
