Paznaun - The most beautiful cities
Ischgl
Located at an altitude of 1,400 meters in the Paznaun, Ischgl is considered a true winter sports mecca. Together with the Swiss municipality of Samnaun, Ischgl forms the Silvretta ski area. The most modern lift systems and 238 kilometers of slopes of all difficulty levels attract an international audience. Snow parks and special slopes provide variety for skiers. After an eventful day on the slopes, Ischgl is known for its extensive après-ski celebrations. In iconic locations like the Kuhstall or the Champagnerhütte, the party is always in full swing. Additionally, you can turn night into day in the rustic alpine huts, pubs, and clubs.
Galtür
Located at an altitude of 1,584 meters, Galtür is a paradise for climbing and bouldering enthusiasts. The reason is the Silvapark, which offers varied routes on natural rock. Hikers will find tranquil to challenging tours in the Silvretta mountain range around Galtür. Be sure to try the Paznaun Alpine cheese when resting at one of the alpine pastures! In winter, Galtür is a snow-sure ski area from December to April. Beginners and advanced skiers will find plenty of action on the numerous well-groomed ski slopes, freeride routes, and cross-country trails. Don't miss the ride with the snow groomer during a ski safari, which brings you closer to the winter wonderland of Galtür.
Kappl
The Sunny Mountain Adventure Park at 1,830 m is a paradise for children. You can reach the adventure playground with a Kneipp facility and low ropes course with the Diasbahn. On the bee nature trail, children and adults learn interesting facts about the world of the busy insects. A walk to the chapels that give Kappl its name is also worthwhile. The family-friendly ski area in Kappl covers 42 kilometers of slopes. Things get adventurous in the Funpark Alblitt, where freestylers perform tricks. Speed is measured on slope No. 12. It's fun on the 6 km long toboggan run. You can also try the trend sport of fat biking in the snow.
See
Many houses in See are located by the Trisanna River. In the summer, the eponymous bathing lake invites you to enjoy swimming, unless you set off on hikes to the wooded slopes and green pastures. You have wonderful views from the windows of the village adorned with blooming geraniums. It is not far to regional attractions. To visit the impressive Wiesberg Castle, take a bus 6 kilometers to Wiesberg. From here, you have a fantastic view of the Trisanna Bridge from the 19th century, which spans the valley in a bold arch.
Mathon
Recharge on a hike in the wild and romantic landscape around Mathon: The 300 km long network of trails offers flat, family-friendly routes as well as mountain tours up to 3,000 m. In total, 18 rustic huts in the Paznaun Valley await you, pampering you with Tyrolean delicacies such as Kaspressknödl and Gröstl. The Silvretta ski area extends up to 2,872 m. In Mathon itself, there is a practice lift that is perfect for beginners and children. Cross-country skiers will find a sporting challenge on the 5.5 km long Mathon trail. It passes by the wildlife park, which is located next to the Wilderer Hut.
Tobadill
From Tobadill, the Venet cable car takes you to the Krahberg, known for its great views of the West Tyrolean Alps. From here, many hiking trails start through the Kaunergrat Nature Park, which hosts a unique flora and fauna. History enthusiasts can discover impressive medieval fortifications on the Tyrolean Castle Trail. From Tobadill, the most famous ski resorts in the Alps are quickly reached in winter. Whether it's Ischgl with its lively après-ski scene, family-friendly slopes in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, or the impressive ski area on the Kaunertal Glacier: every winter sports enthusiast will find something for themselves here. Spiss
Spiss is an Eldorado for nature fans. The best way to discover the lush pastures is on a hike. Stamina is required if you embark on a ridge hike to the nearly 2,700 m high Kreuzjoch. In return, the view of the Swiss and Austrian Alps is phenomenal. Spiss is only a few kilometers from the Swiss border. In winter, you can reach the valley station of the Silvretta cable car, 7 km away, with the free ski bus. It opens up 239 kilometers of excellently groomed slopes of all difficulty levels. In Spiss itself, you can expect a natural toboggan run and winter hiking trails through untouched nature.
Pians
Pians is a charming village in the Paznaun Valley in Tyrol. This quiet locality is located about 10 kilometers west of Ischgl and offers a picturesque mountain backdrop. Pians is characterized by its authentic Tyrolean architecture and relaxed atmosphere. The surroundings are a paradise for nature and outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking trails crisscross the alpine landscape, and in winter, ski resorts like Ischgl are easily accessible. Pians also offers cultural insights with historical churches and traditional events. It is a place that is excellent for a quiet vacation away from the hustle and bustle, while the proximity to the surrounding attractions offers many opportunities for activities.

Ischgl Waterfalls
The Visnitz Waterfall descends as an impressive natural spectacle with a roaring sound about 30 meters along rugged cliffs. Surrounded by a lush green forest landscape, it offers fantastic photo opportunities. The waterfall is only about 8 km away from Ischgl. Beautiful circular hiking tours start near the town of Kappl near Ischgl. Well-suited for a hiking tour with children or for hiking beginners is the easy circular hike to the Visnitz Waterfall, which starts at the outskirts of Kappl. It leads towards Ischgl, passing the waterfall as a highlight, and then back to the starting point. The circular hiking route measures around 6 km.
Silvretta Glacier
The glacier educational trail offers an interesting insight into the Silvretta Glacier: You start the tour at Alp Sardasca. 15 information boards provide images and text about the unique habitat in high alpine terrain. On the 11 km mountain tour, you overcome 300 meters in altitude. Numerous viewpoints invite you to take a break. At 2,300 m, there is a climbing garden with a magnificent view of the Silvretta Glacier. There are 30 routes available in various levels of difficulty. The Silvretta Hut invites you to stop by when visiting the glacier. It is located at 2,341 m. From the terrace, you can see ibexes and marmots with a bit of luck.
Tirol Valley
During a stroll through Kappl, the parish church with its towering red tower is one of the most beautiful buildings in the area and is not to be missed. The splendid baroque interior is worth seeing. With the so-called Tonas House, you will also discover in Kappl a typical farmhouse from the 17th century with Christian-themed facade paintings. In the summer months, the Tyrolean mountain world around Kappl invites you to extensive hikes. In winter, you start from Kappl to the slopes in the Kappl / Paznaun-Ischgl ski area. It includes 42 kilometers of slopes, which, with their predominantly easy and medium difficulty levels, are also suitable for a family vacation on skis and snowboards.
Father
In the Lower Austrian Thayatal National Park, the Thaya has created a gem of habitats and forest types in a small area. This continues in the Czech Republic's Národní park Podyjí. In addition to a wealth of plants, endangered animals such as the black stork, European wildcat, or noble crayfish also find their home in the 1,360-hectare area with picturesque river meanders. There are about 100 km of hiking and cycling trails to discover in the Thayatal National Park. These lead you through gentle meadows, barren rock formations, and cool green forests, as well as along lively streams and rivers. You can learn about the most remote corners and the most interesting stories on a tour with a national park ranger.
Galtür
Around the Austrian Galtür, numerous lakes provide refreshing coolness amidst a magnificent mountain panorama. Above the tree line lies the crystal-clear Zeinissee, surrounded by impressive rock formations and green pastures. At the Alpengasthof Zeinisjoch, you can enjoy a delicious Tyrolean snack. Slightly above the Zeinissee, the Kleinzeinissee awaits. In the midst of a beautiful forest, you will discover the high mountain lake Stafali-Weiher. Three stone barbecue areas and an ample supply of firewood invite you to a cozy barbecue with the whole family. A natural monument is the Wiegensee, located in a protected high moor landscape, offering you a splendid view of the peaks of the Silvretta group.
