Take long walks throughout the year during the transitional seasons or even around the turn of the year and breathe in the clear air. Thanks to the constant winds, wind and kite surfing as well as sailing are also possible here. By car, you can reach the neighboring country of Spain in less than an hour.
Metro Beach, Ondres
Wetlands and forests separate Plage du Metro from the hinterland. The refuge on the Basque coast offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. You can easily reach the beach on two wheels, as the bike path runs directly past it. There is also a parking lot for cars. At Plage du Metro, which has retained its natural character, you will find a kiosk where you can buy drinks and snacks. At the local surf school, you can take courses and rent equipment. The expansive beach is supervised during the peak season in summer. There are showers and sanitary facilities.
Messanges Beach

Soustons Beach
