Penon Beach, Seignosse

The beach Plage du Penon is located in Seignosse on the Bay of Biscay. The best time to visit for a beach holiday is from June to September. During this time, the Atlantic is 20 to 22 degrees Celsius warm. Ideal for relaxing or splashing around on the gently sloping coast. At Plage du Penon, there is a lot going on during the peak season in summer: you can enjoy delicious meals in numerous restaurants, shops offer clothing, holiday souvenirs, and beach items. A surf school offers courses for beginners and advanced surfers. Additionally, equipment is available for rent. Joggers and inline skaters are bustling along the beach promenade.

Central Beach, Hossegor

The Plage Centrale is the main beach of the popular western French seaside resort Hossegor on the Atlantic coast in the Aquitaine region. It is a very wide and long sandy beach with good infrastructure in the center of the town, where there is also a wide range of bars, restaurants, and other shops. Located on the wild Atlantic coast of France, the Plage Centrale, with its large and reliable waves, is one of the best and most popular places for windsurfing in Europe. There are several surf schools here that offer courses for both beginners and advanced surfers. The necessary equipment can be rented.

Océanides Beach, Capbreton

The Plage des Océanides is located in the popular French seaside resort of Capbreton in the Aquitaine region. The beach is a magnificent long sandy beach on the wild Atlantic, which offers large waves here. Therefore, it is especially popular with surfers. It is also well-suited for long beach walks. The supervised Plage des Océanides is also suitable for swimming. A little further south, however, stretches a magnificent solitary long dune beach, which is only inviting for walking, as the currents here are too dangerous. On a dune by the beach, there is also a beach bar offering drinks and small snacks.

Piste Beach, Capbreton

The beach of the piste is located in the south of the family-friendly resort of Capbreton, about 30 kilometers north of Biarritz. It is a natural and very wide dune beach with fine sand and crystal-clear water. Due to the sometimes rough sea, the beach is a paradise for skilled surfers. But there is also much to experience for families. Behind the beach runs a nearly three-kilometer-long dune path, where you can gain insights into the diverse flora and fauna. A highlight on the beach is the remains of the German bunkers, which are often used by beach visitors as a viewing platform at sunset.

Central Beach of Labenne

The dune-like sandy beach stretches for several kilometers along the Bay of Biscay. Even during the holiday season in the summer months, you will find some quiet spots here to spend relaxing hours. Between June and September, you can expect daily highs of more than 25 degrees, and the open sea promises a welcome refreshment. Take long walks throughout the year during the transitional seasons or even around the turn of the year and breathe in the clear air. Thanks to the constant winds, wind and kite surfing as well as sailing are also possible here. By car, you can reach the neighboring country of Spain in less than an hour.

Metro Beach, Ondres

Wetlands and forests separate Plage du Metro from the hinterland. The refuge on the Basque coast offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. You can easily reach the beach on two wheels, as the bike path runs directly past it. There is also a parking lot for cars. At Plage du Metro, which has retained its natural character, you will find a kiosk where you can buy drinks and snacks. At the local surf school, you can take courses and rent equipment. The expansive beach is supervised during the peak season in summer. There are showers and sanitary facilities.

Messanges Beach

The dream beach stretches for several kilometers along the coast, so you can still find a spot of tranquility even during the holiday season, where you can relax in the French sun. The sea here is pleasantly cool and promises a welcome refreshment when swimming in the warm summer months. Stroll along the beach in the evening hours and let yourself be enchanted by the picture-perfect sunset as the sky over the sea turns deep red. A popular destination, which you can reach on foot, is the old town of Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains, famous for the Saint-Clément Church.

Soustons Beach

Soustons Plage stretches over several kilometers, so you can expect peace and relaxation even in the well-visited summer months. From June and well into September, the thermometer in the southwest of France climbs above 25°C, and the sun shines for several hours daily. The dune-like landscapes invite you to sunbathe and relax, as well as to take romantic walks at sunset. In the transitional seasons, the winds promise ideal conditions for kitesurfing and sailing. Within walking distance of Soustons Plage, you will find some excellent restaurants famous for their fish dishes.
