For many years, the beach of Cesenatico has been adorned with the Blue Flag. On the seven-kilometer-long coastal section, there are 123 beach resorts. The climate on the Adriatic coast is generally maritime and Mediterranean. This means that the summers are dry and warm to hot, and the winters are mild. However, there are significant differences between the north around Venice and the Adriatic coast in southern Italy. The further south you go, the more Mediterranean the climate becomes. While in summer the temperatures are around 28 to 30 degrees everywhere, the winters in the south are significantly milder. Additionally, there is much less rain in the summer here than in the north. The best time for a beach holiday is from June to the end of September.
