Maremma Inland - 8 special beaches

Marina di Alberese Beach
On approximately 15 kilometers, the beach of Marina di Alberese offers fine sand and gently sloping water, making it the perfect beach for families. In the background, it is flanked by a pine forest. Highlights for children and great photo opportunities are the sun- and sea-bleached branches and tree trunks. Spread out your towel and enjoy wonderful beach days under the Italian sun. A small restaurant above the beach takes care of your physical well-being. A long walk is recommended, for example, through the adjacent Maremma Nature Park, where flamingos, wild horses, and Maremma cows can be observed.

Cala Violina Beach
You should not miss this paradisiacal beach when you are in Tuscany. Hardly any other offers you clearer water. Located in a small bay, it provides perfect conditions for snorkelers. When you walk barefoot through the white sand, you will know where the beach got its name. Nestled in a nature reserve and flanked by two rocky outcrops, families and couples spend unforgettable beach days at Cala Violina. With a gentle slope, the beach also offers perfect swimming conditions for children and inexperienced swimmers. There are no permanent facilities here, so it is advisable to bring enough food and drinks with you.

Baratti Beach
The beach of Baratti is located in the namesake district of the Italian city of Piombino in Tuscany. It enchants with a natural, magnificent sandy beach, which, due to mineral residues from past iron extraction, has a slightly reddish color in parts and thus offers a very special sight with the clear, shimmering sea. The water here is quite shallow, mostly very clear, and also very clean. In addition to showers and toilets, there is a restaurant and two bars for catering. Due to this good equipment and the gentle and shallow water, the beach of Baratti is popular with families with children.

Talamone Beach
Perhaps the Bagno delle Donne beach in Talamone looks familiar to you? Then you might have seen the James Bond film "Quantum of Solace," which was filmed here. With its steeply sloping cliffs, this coastal section has its own charm. Against the backdrop of the old fortress, you can swim in crystal-clear water. The Spiagga della Fertilia is considered the main beach of Talamone: it is a long sandy beach that stretches along the bay of Talamone. Due to the Maestrale winds, perfect conditions prevail here for water sports enthusiasts: wind and kite surfers will get their money's worth. There is also a surf school.

Carboniferous Beach
You can easily reach Carbonifera Beach by car. It's only about 100 meters from the parking lot to the beach. A path leads through the coastal dunes to the sea. Your gaze will likely immediately fall on the 19th-century tower that dominates this coastal section. The shore at Carbonifera Beach slopes gently, making it particularly suitable for families with children. This coastal section is part of the Sterpaia Coastal Park, known for its scenic beauty. There is a restaurant on site that pampers you with drinks and culinary delights.

Capalbio Beach
The beach of Capalbio stretches over about 12 kilometers and is divided into different sections, from natural beaches to areas with numerous services and water sports offerings. This ensures that every beach visitor finds their favorite spot. You can look forward to crystal-clear water and fine sand in every section. The soft sand and gently sloping sea offer perfect swimming conditions for families with children. While the parents relax on a lounger under the sunshade, the little ones can romp and dig to their heart's content. When you get a little hungry, visit one of the beach restaurants and enjoy Italian delicacies.

Punta Ala Beach
Framed by green pine forest and emerald green sea, Punta Ana Beach offers everything a vacationer's heart desires. It is narrow but long, and alternates between fine white sand and small pebbles. Loungers and sunshades line up and offer space to relax with a view of the Tuscan archipelago. Punta Ana Beach slopes gently into the sea, making it the perfect family beach. Active vacationers can enjoy SUP or surfing. Additionally, you can rent canoes, catamarans, or pedal boats and watch the colorful hustle and bustle from the water. Numerous restaurants and bars invite you to enjoy Italian specialties.

Cinnamon Beach Lily
The Cannelle Beach is located on the east side of the Italian island of Giglio in Tuscany. With its white sand, it is the second largest beach on the island and is protected by rocks and cliffs. The sea here offers a changing play of colors with azure blue, turquoise, and emerald green tones. The beach is very shallow and therefore ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Additionally, there is excellent infrastructure with sun umbrellas and loungers. There is also a bar, a restaurant, and a boat rental offering canoes and pedal boats. Accordingly, the Cannelle Beach is also well visited.
