Westenschouwen Domains 2 Beach
The domains are the four contiguous sandy beaches located at the tip of Schouven-Duiveland. You reach the dreamy coastal section through an impressive dune landscape. There is a small steep slope to overcome before you reach the sea. The Domeinen 2 beach is unspoiled and equally suitable for those seeking tranquility, families, and athletes. The sea in front of Domeinen 2 beach is a protected area called Voordelta. Rare fish and seals live here. Dog owners also like to come to the beach: Even in the peak season from May to September, four-legged friends can run free from 7:00 PM in the evening until 9:00 AM in the morning.
Cadzand Beach
The long North Sea beach of Cadzand is very wide and fine sandy, stretching on both sides of the marina of the small seaside resort. Let your eyes wander during summer sunbathing or during long walks on the beach and watch the sailing ships drifting off the coast. Cadzand is a tranquil seaside resort and is perfect for a completely relaxing holiday. The natural beach transitions into a dune strip, which, in its extensive expanse, particularly invites dune hikes west of the marina. The main path leading through the dunes near the coast is excellent for cycling trips.
Oostkapelle Beach
The beach of Oostkapelle is characterized by its natural state. It is fine sandy and wide, seamlessly leading to the neighboring coastal towns of Domburg and Breezand. The small village of Oostkapelle is set back behind a wide belt of dunes, allowing you to enjoy pure nature at the beach. Build sandcastles, refresh in the sea, or fly kites: the beach of Oostkapelle has its charm in every season. Look forward to relaxing hours in the sand or explore the surroundings. Varied paths lead through the dune landscape of Oostkapelle, repeatedly offering magnificent views of the North Sea along the way.
Breezand Vrouwenpolder Beach
The inland water Veerse Meer on one side and the roaring North Sea on the other: This is how you spend a beach holiday in Vrouwenpolder. In the eastern area at Verse Gatdam, the beach is flat and very wide. Here, families gather to build sandcastles. You can rent a beach hut. As you head towards the Breezland-Vrouwenpolder beach, you will see countless sails in good wind. They belong to kitesurfers who come to the Dutch beach for the excellent conditions. There is a surf school on the beach, located at the Veerse Dam. There are two areas designated as nudist beaches.
The Banjaard Beach
The beach of De Banjaard stretches about 3 kilometers westward to the Veerse Gatdam, the transition to the neighboring island of De Walcheren. You can expect a wide sandy beach, inviting you to sunbathe in the summer or take a dip in the sea, as well as enjoy wonderful beach walks in a brisk autumn breeze. At the beach of the small holiday resort De Banjaard, you are in the right place if you are looking for peaceful relaxation. Towards the outskirts, the beach transitions into a small dune landscape. Behind the coast lies the nature reserve De Schotsman, which also offers hiking opportunities with its forests, dunes, and salt marshes.
Domburg Beach
Building sandcastles, playing beach volleyball, or relaxing in the sun: there's definitely plenty of space on the beach of Domburg. It impresses with its width of over 50 meters and even more at low tide. Right on the beach, there are several beach bars to end the beach day. The beach seamlessly stretches for long walks from Domburg to the neighboring towns of Westkapelle and Oostkapelle. Towards the northeastern coast, the extensive dune area of De Manteling van Walcheren with small coastal forest sections adjoins. Discover the natural landscape on the branching hiking trails in the fresh North Sea air.
Nollestrand Vlissingen Beach
Even in summer, a dip in the sea at Nollestrand is refreshing: In July and August, the North Sea is on average 18 degrees warm. Overall, the beach of Vlissingen is about 4 kilometers long, with Nollestrand located on the north side of the city. It is 250 meters to the Nollebos parking lot. Due to the excellent infrastructure and water quality, the Blue Flag flies at Nollestrand. You will find showers and toilets available. Facilities for people with mobility aids are also on site. From early May to mid-September, dogs are prohibited, but during the other months, you can let your four-legged friend run free.
Zoutelande Beach
Zoutelande is a relaxed holiday destination with a kilometer-long sandy beach that extends to the neighboring town of Westkapelle. There is plenty of space here for sunbathing and building sandcastles. On the beach, there are several beach pavilions for culinary stops with views of the Baltic Sea. But the well-developed town center is also located directly behind the coast. Don't miss an evening beach walk. Here on the west coast of Walcheren is one of the most romantic places to watch the sun set over the Baltic Sea. Towards the southeastern edge of the town, a natural dune strip lines the beach and also offers attractive walking opportunities with magnificent panoramic views over the sea.
