Vilafortuny Castle
The impressive complex was built in the 12th century and initially served as a defensive fortress and military building. Our Lady of the Rock of Mont-roig
The hermitage was first mentioned in documents in 1230. The current structure dates from the early modern period and was last restored in 1902. The entire complex rises on an almost 300-meter-high sandstone rock and offers spectacular photo opportunities. Part of the hermitage is the Chapel of Sant Ramon, which is located above the main building. It is square-shaped and painted white, as it has served as a navigational aid for sailors on the Mediterranean for many centuries.
Riudoms Stream
The numerous, colorful species make the Riera de Riudoms a true paradise for birdwatchers. You can often marvel at bee-eaters, hoopoes, blackbirds, turtledoves, and swifts in their natural habitat, and with a bit of luck, you might even see partridges. On-site, you can also book guided tours with ornithologists to have the characteristics of the birds explained to you.
