For more action, there are two snow parks or the ski cross track at Rinderberg. Snow hikers like to take the winter hike to Hornberg and enjoy the impressive mountain panoramas. A special overnight opportunity is the igloo hotel on the Saanerslochgrat.

Village Zweisimmen

Located at the foot of the Rinderberg, Zweisimmen offers access to the 250 kilometers of slopes in the Gstaad-Saanenland ski area with its gondola lift. This makes it the ideal base for families who appreciate snow-sure slopes and want to explore the only glacier ski area in the Bernese Oberland. In summer, Zweisimmen is the starting point for hikes, such as on the Obersimmental House Trail, which takes you past quaint farm chalets. A special experience is a ride on the Trottinett, a scooter, with which you can rush from the mountain to the valley.

Sparenmoos

Sparenmoos is located in the municipality of Zweisimmen in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. In summer, it offers wonderful hiking trails, such as towards Rellerli or Jaunpass. There are fantastic views with flower-rich meadows and some wildlife. In winter, Sparenmoos transforms into a paradise for snow lovers and winter sports enthusiasts. Simmen Falls

The Simmen Falls pour out from the source of the river of the same name, Simme, from rock crevices in a limestone wall. In total, there are even seven source branches that unite powerfully foaming white into the Simme. This also gives the Simmen Falls the Swiss nickname D'Sibe Brünne. The Simmen Falls pour over numerous cascades and make their way downhill. You have a particularly beautiful view of this natural spectacle from the Barbara Bridge. It is located only about 5 km away from Lenk for a hiking tour.

St. Mauritius Church

The Mauritius Church in the Bernese Oberland was built specifically for spa guests of the Catholic faith. The initiator was the then vacationer Henry Burrus, who donated a large sum for the chapel. Later, renovations were made to enlarge the church. When visiting the Mauritius Church, you will be particularly fascinated by the white facade, the gabled roof, and the pointed church tower. You enter the church in Lenk through a small entrance portal with a canopy. Inside, you admire the stained glass windows by the Swiss artist Yoki.

Jaun Pass

Many tours invite you to actively discover the Jaun Pass. On the 15.7 km tour from Jaun Pass to Zweisimmen, you pass mystical moors. On the AlpKultur Erlebnisweg Bruchmandli, there are exciting stations for the whole family. In winter, the Jaun Pass transforms into a family-friendly ski area. In the Kids Village, the youngest learn to make their first turns in the snow on a children's lift and carousel. Perfectly groomed trails are also available around the Jaun Pass.

Rinderberg

The Rinderberg is a beautiful mountain in the Swiss Alps, located in the Zweisimmen region. It is a popular destination for skiers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts. In addition to skiing and hiking, there are also opportunities for mountain biking and paragliding. The summit of the Rinderberg offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding Alps and Zweisimmen.

Jaunbach Gorge

The Jaunbach originates in the Jaungrund near Zweisimmen in the Bernese Oberland and flows through the wild and romantic Jaunbach Gorge between the Lac de Montsalvens and Broc. Steep rock walls, suspension bridges, and tunnels make a hike through the gorge an unforgettable experience. You can continue your hike in Broc to the Chateau de Gruyères.

Turbach Valley

Between the rustic Zweisimmen and the glamorous Gstaad lies the dreamy Turbach Valley, traversed by the Turbach stream. The scattered settlement of Turbach is the starting point for numerous hikes. One of them leads to the 2,542-meter-high Giferspitz. The hiking trail runs through dense forests to Bärgli and over the Berzgummbach.

Blankenburg Castle

The Blankenburg Castle, dating from the Baroque period, is one of the most significant attractions in the municipality of Zweisimmen in the Bernese Oberland. Situated on a rocky outcrop, the estate offers beautiful views over the surrounding landscape. Today, the former manor house is used as a venue for events and weddings. Occasionally, tours are also possible by arrangement.

Day 1

Unpack your bags and embark on your first mountain adventure in Zweisimmen. Take the gondola with an alpine panoramic view up to the Rinderberg. The 2,079 m high local mountain of your holiday destination offers hiking trails for every athletic ambition and delights with its expansive views over Zweisimmen and the mountain ranges of the Bernese Oberland. In the cold season, the summit is popular with locals and guests alike for its fun toboggan runs. Back in Zweisimmen, stroll through the town center with its typically alpine houses. There are some shopping and dining options here. From afar, the towering tower of the Church of St. Mary leads you to the remarkable 15th-century church. Art enthusiasts will be thrilled by the late Gothic frescoes with Christian scenes. Afterwards, visit the Obersimmental Local Museum. Among other things, a largely original furnished kitchen parlor tells of the historical everyday life in the region.

Day 2

On the slopes or on the mountain bike on the second day. In the neighboring ski area of Gstaad, 200 kilometers of slopes await you for winter sports fun. Most slopes, with their easy level of difficulty, are excellent for beginners and families. A selection of intermediate and challenging runs attracts experienced winter sports fans to this glacier ski area well into spring. Winter hikes amidst the tranquility of the snow-covered mountain landscape are an appealing alternative with a guarantee of relaxation. In summer, mountain bike tours in the summit world around Zweisimmen await you. A leisurely bike ride leads along the Simme with views of the alpine meadows to the small Lenksee. After a picnic break, you cycle back the approximately 30 km route to Zweisimmen. From an MTB tour on the Hornberg to a tour over the Gestelenpass, there are plenty of challenging tours around Zweisimmen for all MTB professionals with good fitness.

Day 3

The third day of vacation starts with an adrenaline-filled family trip to the Zweisimmen rope park. On courses with varying levels of difficulty, you climb and balance on suspension bridges and climbing ropes from tree to tree. Afterwards, you join a section of the Obersimmentaler House Trail. This themed trail measures 20 km and can be completely hiked in one day with the appropriate fitness level. It leads through the Obersimmental and shows you some of the most beautiful Simmental houses along the way. These captivate with their intricate carpentry or their magnificent frescoes on the facades and date back in part to the late Middle Ages. For the afternoon, you plan a trip with the whole family to the Alpenruhe adventure world in the neighboring town of Saanen. There is a large playground, a sensory experience garden, and a cute petting zoo. Alternatively, a visit to the outdoor pool in Zweisimmen rounds off the day nicely.
