Mittelallalin

The Mittelallalin is the final station of the Metro Alpin funicular, whose route begins at the Felskinn valley station. At the top is the highest revolving restaurant in the world. From here, you can reach the Ice Pavilion through a 70-meter-long tunnel, an ice grotto carved into the Fee Glacier above Saas-Fee. Feeblitz

With the steepest bobsleigh lift in the Alps, you reach the start of the Feeblitz. It goes down into the valley through spectacular curves. The little ones can ride in the front of the bobsleigh with their parents. The track is about 900 meters long. During the ride with the Feeblitz, you reach a speed of up to 40 kilometers per hour. In the 360-degree loop, you enjoy a magnificent panoramic view. Once at the bottom, you can recharge your energy for the next ride in a bistro.

Hannig

Hannig in Wallis is worth a visit at any time of the year. You can comfortably reach it with the cable car. Once at the top, the children can play on the playground. Saaser Museum

In the Saaser Museum in Saas-Fee, you embark on a journey back in time. On four floors, you can admire traditional objects and costumes from the region. A typically furnished apartment provides insights into life at the turn of the century. The Saaser Museum also houses the study of the writer Carl Zuckmayer.

Stafelwald

The Stafelwald is located not far from the winter sports resort of Saas-Fee. The national forest area is well-known and extremely popular for its many marmots, which live here in the wild but are not at all shy of human contact. Children in particular enjoy the cute animals, which can be fed with nuts and carrots.

Mittelallalin

Mittelallalin is an impressive mountain (3352 m) in Switzerland, known for its ski resorts. Visitors can take the cable car to Felskinn and then continue with the Metro Alpin, the highest underground railway in the world, to reach Mittelallalin. The Plattjen

Day 1

After arrival and a short refreshment, you set off on your first exploration tour in Saas-Fee. During a stroll through the alpine Valais holiday resort with its typical alpine charm, you will be presented with impressive views of the mountain ranges towering high into the sky, many of which exceed 4,000 meters in height. Not quite as high, but easily accessible for casual hikers and families, is the 2,488-meter-high Spielboden mountain. Alternatively, you can take the cable car up to the summit, which is known for its marmots. There is a good chance of getting close to the cute animals and feeding them carrots. On the child-friendly marmot-themed hiking trail, you can learn more about the small mountain dwellers on information boards. A must during a vacation in Saas-Fee is a visit to the Allalin Ice Grotto. You explore the interior of the Fee Glacier with its spectacular ice formations - worth seeing in winter and refreshing in summer.

Day 2

The second day in Saas-Fee is all about sporting fun. The Saas-Fee ski region has around 150 kilometers of slopes. There are some easy slopes for beginners or families. Most are of a medium difficulty level and provide a lot of fun for experienced winter sports enthusiasts on skis or snowboards. Those who prefer a relaxed pace can explore the winter-white fairytale landscape on snow hikes. Families will find many opportunities for sledding and can build the most beautiful snowman in all of Saas-Fee together. The day continues with sports and action with a trip to the Fee Gorge. The gorge, stretching 4 km from Saas-Fee to Saas-Grund, runs between rugged rocks. Under expert guidance, you climb on a moderately challenging climbing tour secured by steel cables over ladders and suspension bridges along the craggy rocks. This is a summer adventure, but also a winter adrenaline-filled highlight with its snow-covered rocks and frozen waterfalls.

Day 3

The third day starts with a light summer hike on the 4.5 km long Carl-Zuckmayer-Weg. You follow a circular route past his former residence high above Saas-Fee, which the writer, who lived in Saas-Fee for a long time, is said to have enjoyed walking. Back in the village center, refresh yourself at the Kneipp facility in Saas-Fee. Then embark on a mountain bike tour along the 80 km long network of bike paths. The mild autumn, with the special light of the low sun, especially makes you want to bike. Or plan an adventurous visit to the rope park with the whole family. On varied courses, you balance, swing, and climb from treetop to treetop. In the Aqua Allalin pool, enjoy pure relaxation after an exciting day at any time of the year.
