The town is located about 90 meters above sea level. The hills of Crespina Lorenzana enjoy excellent climatic conditions and, together with the landscape softened by numerous streams, ensure that a pleasant wine is produced in this area. Because of the beauty of the views, the town of Crespina, since the end of the eighteenth century, has been characterized by the presence of large manor villas. In the following century, new and beautiful ones were added, made famous by the presence of painters and artists, such as Giovanni Battista Tempesti, Silvestro Lega and Giovanni Fattori, exponents of the Macchiaioli movement. Among the most significant villas are Villa Belvedere, in a panoramic position with an English garden and a beautiful lemon house, Villa Corsini Valdisonzi, Villa Il Poggio and the Carlo Pepi Villa-museum, which belonged to the famous art critic and open to the public who can visit the rich collection of contemporary art here. Ein riesiges Anwesen in toller Lage und vielen Freizeitmöglichkeiten, sodass wir auch bei schlechtem Wetter keine Langeweile hatten. Bei allen Fragen und Problemen hat war Elisa immer sofort zur Stelle. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, wenn man einmal in einem Schloss wohnen und sich wie ein/e Prinz/Prinzessin fühlen möchte!

Beautiful, stately villa with many rooms and somewhat outdated furniture, impressively large park, great pool and leisure facilities (only the surface of the tennis court urgently needs to be refreshed). Everything was very clean and the service was always friendly and quick to help. Great location and still very quiet. Ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area. We had 2 great weeks in La Guardia Vecchia.

Haben mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Jugendlichen die Unterkunft sehr genossen, bei so vielen positiven Eindrücken (der wunderschöne Garten, der große Pool, die Ausstattung der Räume) sieht man dann auch mal über undichten Ablauf in der oberen Küche oder lose Türgriffe hinweg. Würden das Haus jederzeit weiterempfehlen.
