Beautiful apartment house "Chalet Smaragd". In the district of Gydisdorf, 100 m from the centre, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet, south facing position. For shared use: natural pond. In the house: lift, storage room for skis, central heating system, washing machine, tumble dryer. Linen change weekly. In Winter: please take snow chains. Communal covered parking. Shopping centre 150 m, restaurant 100 m, bar 100 m, bicycle rental 100 m, 2 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Firstbahn" 100 m, railway station "Grindelwald Dorf" 500 m, outdoor swimming pool 2.5 km, indoor swimming pool 400 m. Golf course (9 hole) 1.5 km, tennis 1 km, minigolf, sports centre 400 m, mountain railway 500 m, gondola lift 100 m, ski rental 200 m, ski bus stop, cross country ski track 1 km, children's playground 400 m. Well-known ski regions can easily be reached: Thuner-/Brienzersee 18 km. Please note: ski bus (free of charge). The keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Grindelwald. Bathing lake, 20 km from the resort. Outdoor swimming pool. Surfing, sailing school, river rafting, canyoning. Tennis (6 outdoor courts), golf course 9 hole, 1 another golf course in 20 km. Minigolf. Riding in Interlaken 20 km. Fitness course. Fishing (permit required). Paragliding, summer tobbogan run, long 725 m climbing park, high rope course. 1 mountain lift, 3 gondola lifts, 300 km hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing, children's hiking paths. 100 km mountain bike routes, bicycles and mountain bikes for hire. Ski-region Grindelwald. Mountain lifts, gondola lifts, chair lifts, drag lifts, 1 children's ski lift. 51 ski runs, total length 213 km (35 % easy, 45 % intermediate, 15 % difficult), snowboard slope, snow park, halfpipe. Ski school (downhill, cross country), snowboard school, children's ski school, ski kindergarten from 3 years old. 30 km cross country ski tracks in the region, winter walking paths 80 km. Toboggan runs, partially floodlit. Ice rink, artificial ice rink, curling, indoor curling, curling. Ski bus (free of charge). Further ski-regions: Wengen, Mürren, Schilthorn. Apartment Smaragd West was extremely comfortable and easy to relax in. The view from the terrace was amazing. It has very easy access to Grindelwald and its facilities. Would definitely use this accommodation again.

Die Wohnung ist gepflegt und grad richtig für einen einwöchigen Aufenthalt. Sie verfügt über alles was man braucht. Einzige Schwachpunkt; kann etwas finster sein weil im Erdgeschoss gelegen. Dafür hat man die Freiheit der Terrasse.

Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht. Sie ist sehr ruhig und trotzdem sehr zentral gelegen. Der Garagenlift ist etwas aufregend und der Garagenplatz selber fÜr grosse Fahrzeuge nicht unbedingt geeignet. Mit dem ÖV erreicht man innert kurzer Zeit alle Sehenswürdigkeiten von Grindelwald.

Excellent chalet, built and furnished to a high spec. Great view of the mountains from the large terrace, and birds and dragonflies on the pond. Peaceful location, despite being so centrally positioned. It's nextdoor to the Hotel/Apartments Abendrot though, which means their balconies overlook you and/or you could get e.g. noisy families. Cleanliness was good but would benefit from a little more attention to detail. Also instructions for rubbish removal need reviewing - very confusing!

Große schöne Ferienwohnung, viel Platz, gut eingerichtete Küche und alles da was man braucht. Der Blick auf die Berge ist vom darüberliegenden Balkon leicht verdeckt, was jedoch kein wirkliches Manko ist.

Bei schönem Wetter und warmen Temperaturen ist es eine zentral gelegene, schöne Wohnung als Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Wanderungen. Trotz zentraler Lage sehr ruhig. Bei schlechtem Wetter oder im Herbst/Winter ist die Wohnung aufgrund der Bauweise dunkel. Schlafzimmer auch im Sommer dunkel. Auch bei Buchung von mehr als einer Woche wird nur eine Wäschegarnitur zur Verfügung gestellt und es ist kein Staubsauger oder ähnliches vorhanden. Putzutensilien für Küche vorhanden.
