Practical and cosy furnishings: living/sleeping room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm), dining table, satellite TV and radio. Small kitchen (3 hot plates, oven, toaster, kettle, electric coffee machine, Capsules for coffee machine (Nespresso) extra, fondue Set (cheese)). Bath/shower/WC. View of the mountains. Facilities: Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only. Maximum 1 pet/ dog allowed.

House/Residence

Chalet "Helene". On the outskirts, 600 m from the centre of Wengen, in a quiet, sunny position on a slope, 150 m from the edge of the forest. In the house: central heating system, washing machine, tumble dryer (for shared use). Pre-arrival grocery service. Shop, supermarket 750 m, restaurant, bar 450 m, bakery 700 m, 12 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 3.8 km, railway station "Wengen" 750 m, outdoor swimming pool 1 km. Cable car, skisport facilities 600 m. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thunersee 13 km, Brienzersee 13 km. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Additional accommodations can be booked. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.

1'274 m a.s.l. >>Famous, idyllic, car-free holiday resort with 1'300 inhabitants, on top of a hill, situated at the foot of a mountain, on a plateau with beautiful view, 12 km from Interlaken, 15 km from Grindelwald. In the resort: shops, grocery, bakery, post office, bank, restaurant, night club, cinema. Wellness centre. Besides: doctor. Sights Männlichen, Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Trümmelbachfälle, Schynige Platte, Harder, First. Access: no access to the resort by car, reachable only by railway. The journey is made by rack railway (extra) from Lauterbrunnen. Parking spaces available at the train station.

Nous sommes revenus au Chalet Hélène pour la deuxième fois (la première en 2021), et avons passé un magnifique séjour. Dans cet appartement idéalement situé, nous avions tout le confort nécessaire (appareil à raclette, fondue), ainsi qu'une vue imprenable sur les montagnes dont on ne se lasse pas! Nous reviendrons!

For the low, low season price we paid for Christel, we couldn't believe the views we got from Christel's windows and terrace. As the title says, we got to stay in Christel for a bargain price, with magnificent million dollar, or pound lol, views! Christel had everything we needed and more (frying pans are hidden in a draw underneath the oven, guys ) and Interhome Wengen staff were great too! Christel is only a 10 minute walk away from Wengen train station as well! Wunderbar!

We have stayed at the Christel a number of times over the years, and it was as good as usual. Clean, tidy, functional, and comfortable. Being 10 minute walk from the centre, it is very quiet, and the view down the valley is lovely. We always know we are in safe hands, as the Inter home staff are lovely too.

Apartment Helene suited us very well. Stayed in adjoining apartments with our daughter and family and the shared access was very convenient. It was cool (in very hot weather!) comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed. The laundry facility was very useful and it was easy to dry washing outside. The location is quiet and peaceful and is a 10 minute walk to the station (up a slight hill, so you would need to have reasonable mobility). Fantastic views of the Jungfrau & Valley!!

Leuke studio die je op een leuke manier terug in de tijd brengt. Het bed bestaat uit 2 enkele matrassen wat als koppel minder aangenaam is. Matras en kussen waren goed. We hadden toegang tot een skidepot naast de lift wat zeer hadig was. Zeer proper en netjes. Fenomenaal uitzicht!

Whilst this apartment is 10 minutes walk from centre of town, it is very comfortable, quiet, and has everything that you might need. The view is beautiful, the bed comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom have just about everything you might need.

What a wonderful place to rest after a long day walking in the mountains. It was peaceful, bright and cheerful and had everything we needed for a self catered holiday, even a toaster! Nous avons choisi cet appartement pour un court séjour pour faire du ski à Wengen-Grindelwald. L'appartement comportait tout le nécessaire (appareil raclette, fondue, cafetière italienne, épices, etc.) avec une superbe vue sur les montagnes suisses. Situé un peu plus loin du centre, il y faisait très calme. Le petit + : accès gratuit à un dépôt pour y ranger nos skis à côté du télécabine Männlichen.
