During your walk on the promenade of Trogir, you are sure to notice the Kamerlengo Fortress. In the crenellated building, numerous events take place in the summer. Trogir Saint Lawrence Cathedral

Cathedral of Saint Lawrence

The impressive church was built between the years 1213 and 1251 in the Romanesque style. The interior, however, is Gothic and characterized by numerous elaborate decorations. The altar and the ciborium are particularly worth seeing. The bell tower, which rises 50 meters into the sky, is visible from a great distance, and the construction took more than 200 years. Highlights also include the main entrance, the baptismal font, and the church treasures made of gold and jewels.

Cipiko Palace

Cipiko Palace

The Ćipiko Palace was built in the 15th century by Niccolo di Giovanni. It consists of a small and a large palace. In addition to its architecture, the facade impresses with portraits of the Cipiko patrician family as well as with coats of arms and seals. The palace stands out for its tradition and modernity. Particularly magnificent is the palace portal, designed by the sculptor Florentino. It is considered one of the first Renaissance works in Trogir.

Trogir Kamerlengo Fortress

Kamerlengo Castle

In the southwest of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town of Trogir, the Kaštel Kamerlengo towers over a palm-lined waterfront promenade. The massive fortress was built around 1420 under Venetian rule and served both for defense against external attacks and against uprisings from within. The view from the lookout tower of Kaštel Kamerlengo over the sea of red roofs of Trogir is breathtaking. Also visit the unique neoclassical round pavilion in Croatia, which was built under Napoleon. In summer, the courtyard of the fortress serves as a venue for concerts.

Bell Tower Trogir

The city loggia is a whole century older than the bell tower. In the past, it served as a meeting place. In the 15th century, the loggia was adorned with reliefs and sculptures by Venetian artists under the influence of the Republic of Venice. The loggia and the bell tower are located on the main square of Trogir and should not be missed on a tour of the city. In the small alleys surrounding the sights, numerous cafes and restaurants beckon.

The Sjeverna City Gate is a historic city gate from the 17th century. In the afternoon, visit the city museum to learn more about Trogir's rich history and culture. End the day with a relaxing walk along the waterfront promenade and enjoy the sunset over the sea.

Day 2

Today you will take a boat trip to the nearby island of Čiovo. This idyllic island offers numerous opportunities for nature lovers and adventurers. Start with a hike through the lush forests and enjoy the breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic. After the hike, relax on one of the island's picturesque beaches. The turquoise water invites you to swim and snorkel. Pack a picnic and enjoy a lunch on the beach, surrounded by unspoiled nature. In the afternoon, visit the Benedictine monastery on Čiovo, known for its peaceful atmosphere and impressive architecture. Return to Trogir in the late afternoon and treat yourself to a break in one of the cozy cafes. For dinner, try traditional Dalmatian dishes and end the day with a glass of local wine.

Day 3

The last day begins with a visit to the market of Trogir. Here you can discover fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, and other local products. Stroll through the stalls and experience the vibrant hustle and bustle of daily life. After visiting the market, head to Fortin Park, a quiet place ideal for a morning walk. Enjoy the green oasis in the middle of the city and let the relaxed atmosphere take effect. For lunch, visit a local restaurant and try Dalmatian specialties like Peka or Brudet, prepared with fresh ingredients from the region. In the afternoon, a trip to the island of Drvenik Veli is on the agenda. Take a boat and explore this idyllic island, known for its pristine nature and beautiful beaches. Trogir - Climate

Mediterranean climate awaits you in Trogir: The winters are mild but wet. The most rainfall occurs in November and December with 110 mm. The maximum temperatures in winter are still 11 ℃. If you want to swim in Trogir, the months of June to September are ideal. The sea is then between 22 and 25 ℃ warm. Temperatures reach 26 to 30 ℃. Rainy days are rare in July and August: there is an average of only three days of rainfall. The friendliest months are June to August with around eleven hours of sunshine per day.
