Black Forest - The most beautiful cities
Triberg
Germany's highest waterfalls, the Triberg Waterfalls, offer you a natural spectacle of a special kind as they plunge into the valley in seven cascades. They are accessible on foot from Triberg and are illuminated in the evening. Equally worth seeing is the world's largest cuckoo clock, located between Triberg and Hornberg. For train enthusiasts, but also for families, a ride on the Black Forest Railway is a must. The route through the heart of the Black Forest includes several loops and 39 tunnels and is considered a masterpiece of mountain railway engineering. From Triberg, you can reach excursion destinations such as St. Georgen, Gutach, or Hausach by train.
Freiburg
The medieval city center around Münsterplatz is considered the heart of Freiburg, and from here you can start your city tour. Stroll through the historic alleys and follow the Freiburg Bächle, the centuries-old water supply system. Particularly worth seeing are the Schwabentor and the Martinstor, both built in the Middle Ages. The area around Freiburg is a true paradise for nature lovers, who can discover the many attractions of the Black Forest on their own through hikes and bike tours. From Schlossberg, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the city, and the Schauinsland mountain is one of the most popular destinations for a day trip around Freiburg.
Titisee-Neustadt

Around the turn of the year, the nearby winter sports areas open their doors and promise perfect conditions. In addition to the scenic highlights of the Black Forest, Titisee-Neustadt offers some cultural attractions. Calw

St. Blasien

Feldberg
In the village of Feldberg in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg, you are very close to the highest peak of the Black Forest, the 1,493-meter-high Feldberg. The Feldbergbahn cable car takes you almost all the way to the top. In addition to breathtaking panoramic views, you can also find a kite school and the Feldberg Tower with the Black Forest Ham Museum. In Feldberg, the House of Nature attracts visitors with an interactive exhibition. Black Forest - Climate
The dedication with which the Black Forest residents maintain their traditions, showcasing cuckoo clocks and bulbous Bollenhüte, is an experience at any time of the year. The region is characterized by a temperate low mountain range climate. Summer impresses with daytime temperatures of up to 24°C. The cold season is considered snowy. The winter sports season around Hornisgrinde, Feldberg, and Belchen lasts from December to March. In addition to skiing adventures, well-known cross-country skiing centers like those in Schonach and Hinterzarten also await. But the awakening nature in spring, with average temperatures of up to 19°C in May, also has its charm. Autumn is the time of grape harvest and ideal for a relaxing gourmet vacation.
