Bansin – Mümmelkensee

The route follows the Usedom cliff coast, then runs through forest and moor landscapes. Start your hike at the northern end of the Bansin beach promenade, where a staircase leads into the forest. Throughout the hike, you will repeatedly enjoy a magnificent view of the Baltic Sea. At the highest point of the hike, there is a hotel with a restaurant where you can take a short break. A long wooden walkway leads to Mümmelkensee, surrounded by moor and dense forest.

South Tip Gnitz Circular Hike

The South Tip Gnitz circular hike, which can easily be completed by less experienced hikers, takes you through the diverse nature reserve. Walk a total of 4.7 km through untouched nature and let your gaze wander over the Achterwasser. Benches along the path invite you to linger. The start and end point is the parking lot at Mövenort Gnitz. On the hike, the White Mountain, with its 32 meters in height, is a special highlight. The start and finish of this circular hike is the parking lot at the edge of town. The nature trail takes you for almost 3 kilometers along a paved path by the Krumminer Wiek until you reach the natural harbors on the Fischerweg. After that, you head back. It's best to plan a little more than two hours for the hike. If you have some time left, a detour to the Krummin harbor and the church in the town is worthwhile. You can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Krumminer Wiek from the quay edge. The route contains no significant inclines and is classified as an easy hike.

A little more than 3 km separate the Baltic Sea resorts of Loddin and Koserow. Your route begins in Loddin at the Achterwasser. Walk along the beach or divert to the dunes and the hinterland during high tide. In Loddin, visit the Kölpinsee with the Teufelsberg. From the cliffs in Koserow, you have a wonderful view over the sea. Here, a detour to the densely wooded Streckelsberg is worthwhile. The route from Koserow to Zinnowitz leads through Zempin. Your hike begins at the Hotel Seerose on the beach of the Kölpinsee seaside resort. From here, it is a short walk to the lake of the same name, which is surrounded by a circular hiking trail. In many places, the route leads you through alder swamp forest. It takes about an hour to walk around the lake. Near the Kölpinsee seaside resort, between the lake and the sea, is the Teufelsberg. It is the highest elevation on the island of Usedom, but only rises 60 meters. At this point, the coast becomes noticeably steeper and offers cozy bays and beech forests.
